Getting Coimbra protocol in Portugal was inexpensive and well worth the trip. My experience was very positive, and I am happy that I decided to go ahead with it. There are more options available in terms of protocol doctors if you are based in the UK now than there were when I traveled there in 2015. But I have no regrets and would do it again in a flash.

Dr. Damas was very knowledgeable and attentive. He explained everything very clearly and can even arrange to have the blood tests performed in a testing facility in the same building. If you want to take advantage of this service (which is a lot less expensive than the UK), you need a slightly longer trip as these need to be completed before you attend your appointment with him.

To be treated with Combra protocol in Portugal, I flew from London Gatwick airport. British Airways one way and TAP for the homeward bound part of the trip. It cost £150.00 total.

I the easiest way to get from the Airport to the hotel
and vice versa. The price was 8 euro’s each way for us. It starts
at 5 euro’s, but it depends on where your hotel is. To
book this beforehand, you can go to their web site before your
trip, so you know where to go once you arrive at the Airport.
On the way back you can ask reception to book it for you
the day before you travel, and it will pick you up at the hotel!

Perfect in many respects. It is no-frills, and the rooms are a little dated, but it is spotlessly clean and well located for the clinic (less than 5 minutes walk – even if you are a slow walker). It has plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, as well as being right in the middle of town, close to shopping. Prices for us were¢155.00 for two nights, which also included a delicious buffet breakfast. The hotel staff speaks English, which is helpful.
THINGS TO DO WHILE GETTING COIMBRA PROTOCOL IN PORTUGAL – PORTO
While getting Coimbra protocol in Portugal, there are lots of tours to do in Porto. A trip up the river was supposed to be excellent, but we were short on time. We did the
hop on – hop off bus tour of the CIty, which costs ¢13.00 for1.5 hours if you do not get off the bus.
It leaves from right outside the hotel, so it is effortless to access and highly recommended as a chance to see the city on the fly! You can purchase tickets at the hotel reception. They run every 30minutes or so.
Porto is an elegant city, charming, and very pretty. Located as it is on the river, it is very picturesque. The people were lovely and helpful. It was straightforward to get around on public transport, and my only regret was that I did not book a more extended trip. Accessing Coimbra protocol treatment in Portugal was comfortable and a delightful little trip!
